Me…I’m an EMT with the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department.
It’s not something that everyone wants to do or should even aspire to do. It’s nothing like what you see on television, believe me. For me, it’s rewarding, fulfilling, interesting, and frustrating, all at the same time. Stories about being on the scene? Yea…I’ve got a few. Some funny, some sad, some heartwarming. Never the same scene twice. There’s no substitute for being there though.
